Dear distinguished participants,
On behalf of the entire members of Ipekcilik Anatolian Imam Hatip High School MUN Club and dear staff of MUNIA'19, I'd like to welcome you all to the third annual session of Ipekcilik International Model United Nations.
From the beginning of our journey, we aimed to make a difference. Then we learned that faces and places are never enough to make a difference. We don't have to shut or shout. We should all stand up and make our voice heard, in a way that our heart speaks as beats as the heart of each human being, where we truly listen to what we all need. So, once again we took the very first steps of a journey that leads to people making their voice heard. As a person myself, I've always wondered how intense communication can be according to the aim of it, the words you choose and the language you use. When I found myself giving a speech in front of a dozen people in my 14 and feeling like an ambassador while putting my heart and soul to solve problems older than me, I understood how intense communication can be. Therefore it is my immense pleasure to invite you all to be a part of our communication.
This year, the theme of our conference is "Leading Post-Liberal Governance". International liberal order is an invisible structure that sets the agenda for many of the world's countries, their economies, democracies, security, trade, and politics. Dear future participants of MUNIA'19 beware of each one of you is expected to create a vision, keep the integrity, communicate, cooperate and compromise to lead. Under this theme, we will serve you with six different committees which consist of five English and -an addition to last year- one Arabic committee in collaboration with Beyoglu Anatolian Imam Hatip High School MUN Club.
Last but not least, I would like to present my sincerest gratitude to the diligent team of MUNIA'19 who have dedicated themselves to this conference. Dear delegates, our journey was a tough one and we wouldn't be here if it wasn't for you. We're thrilled to have you with us.
Cordially,
Emire Elif Ünlüaslan
Secretary-General of MUNIA'19
